Who works harder? I’ve pondered this question many times. Do they mean physically harder or mentally harder? Harder as in longer workdays? Does the level of reward mean you worked harder than someone else?

What resonates in my head is “If you work hard enough you can be successful and wealthy”. I guess I disagree with that assertion. Having developed real estate for a number of years, I’ve been fortunate enough to be around some of the “hardest” working people. I’m sure there are a magnitude of other jobs that have hard working people in them.

Just because you work hard doesn’t mean you get the rewards due for hard work. Many times the most physically demanding work is paid the least. So maybe working harder means working smarter and learning how to leverage the resources around you to make more money? Maybe it’s getting an opportunity that someone else could of equally had? Hmm…so maybe a person with a lot of wealth didn’t work harder but smarter, learning how to take advantage of acquiring wealth so they have the choice not to work.
